In accordance with By-law 4.1.1 passed by the 24th Sobor on 18 June 2022, the Consistory Board has called an Annual General Meeting to be held:
March 25, 2023 at 3 p.m. EST
By-laws 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 state that notice of the date and time of this meeting will be given not less than 30 days prior to the meeting by:
verbal announcement by priests in UOCC churches across Canada not later than February 19, 2023 and by posting on the UOCC website.
The Consistory Board also requests all parishes to include the date and time of this Annual General Meeting in their newsletter no later than February 19, 2023 and to post this notice on a parish bulletin board.
In accordance with the said by-law, the meeting will be held by videoconference,.
The by-laws advise that the Agenda of this Annual General Meeting shall only include:
- Consideration of the financial statements and the auditor’s report for the preceding fiscal year and any other reports required by the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act to be placed before the AGM;
- considering and approving the budget for the fiscal year, 2022-23;
- ratifying the appointment of auditors; and
- confirming the members of the Consistory Board including filling any vacancies not filled by the Consistory Board.
All members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada are entitled to attend the Annual General Meeting.
