(Стамбул, 01 вересня 2022) Первоієрарх Української Православної Церкви в Канаді відвідав Генеральне Консульство Канади в Стамбулі
Сьогодні, після урочистостей у Фанарі присвячені церковному новоліттю, Первоієрарх УПЦК, Високопреосвященніший Митрополит Вінніпезький Іларіон відвідав Генеральне Консульство Канади в Стамвулі, де зустрівся з Генеральним Консулом Канади, п-ом Брагім Ачтутал. Генеральний Консул привітав Владику Митрополита з обранням Святим і Священним Синодом та побажав успіхів в діяльності нового первоієрарха УПЦК, як духовного лідера православних україйців у Канаді, в надзвичайно важкий час для світового українства. Під час розвмови відзначили й харизматичне служіння, і надзвичайний авторитет Його Всесвятості Патріарха Варфоломія, як світового релігійного лідера. Співрозмовники поділились думками про дружні зв‘язки Канади з Вселенською Патріархією, особливу роль УПЦК в духовній та гуманітарній допомозі біженцям з Украіни в Канаді, і також про велику допомогу держави Канади Украіні у відповідь на неспроковану агресію Російської Федераціі проти Украіни та героїчний захист українського народу своєї рідноі землі під час війни. На завершення розмови, було міркування про інші питання взаємного інтересу й подальшоі співпраці. Зустріч пройшла в приємній і щирій атмосфері. (Фотографії прикріплені)

(Istanbul, 01 September 2022) The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada Visited the Consulate General of Canada in Istanbul
Today, following celebrations of the New Ecclesiastical Year, at the Phanar, the Primate of the UOCC, His Eminence Metropolitan Ilarion of Winnipeg visited the Consulate General of Canada in Istanbul, where His Eminence met with Consul General of Canada, Mr. Brahim Achtutal. The Consul General greeted Vladyka Metropolitan with his election by the Holy and Sacred Synod and extended to the new primate of the UOCC best wishes for success in his new duties, as a spiritual leader of Orthodox Ukrainians in Canada, at a time of extreme distress for Ukrainians worldwide.

The charismatic service of His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew, who has exceptional authority as a world religious leader, was also a discussed, along with the cordial relations between Canada and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and the unique role of the UOCC in spiritual and humanitarian aid for displace persons from Ukraine in Canada. Additionally, the two discussants spoke of the significant support the Government of Canada has extended to Ukraine in response to the Russian Federation’s unprovoked aggression toward Ukraine, and the resulting heroic defense of their native lands manifested by the people of Ukraine throughout the war. The conversation concluded with a contemplation of other issues of mutual interest and future cooperation. The meeting atmosphere was pleasant and genuine throughout its duration. (Photos attached)
