On Saturday, November 22, 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Ilarion, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Canada, commemorated the solemn anniversary of the Holodomor by serving a memorial service for the repose of the souls of all those who perished as a result of the tragic, man-made famine. These prayers were offered at the Holodomor monument in front of City Hall, in Winnipeg Manitoba, as part of the city’s annual commemoration of the victims of the Holodomor. His Eminence was assisted by the clergy of the Winnipeg deanery.
