With the Blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Ilarion, Primate of the UOCC, a Clergy Retreat was held in the Western Eparchy. The retreat took place at the Providence Renewal Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, with a time of theological reflection, prayer from the daily cycle of services offered in the retreat centre chapel, the sharing of common experiences and concerns among the parishes of the Western Eparchy, and the strengthening of the bonds of love and unity among the clergy present with their Primate.

This year, the retreat sessions, presented by Archpriest Dr. Timothy Chrapko, focused on the importance of Holy Week in deepening our experience of Pascha. The retreat culminated with the celebration of the Hierarchical Vesperal Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Annunciation on March 25 at St. John’s Cathedral. In Edmonton. His Eminence Metropolitan Ilarion was assisted by the clergy of the Western Eparchy of the UOCC.
