“When Thou, O Lord, wast baptized in the Jordan, the worship of the Trinity was made manifest.”

On the eve of the Feast of Theophany of Our Lord, His Eminence Metropolitan Ilarion visited St. Elia Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Edmonton, where he presided at the Great Blessing of Water.

Together with the clergy and faithful, His Eminence led the Church in prayer, proclaiming the mystery of Christ’s Baptism in the Jordan and the revelation of the Most Holy Trinity. Following the service, the faithful received the newly blessed water as a source of spiritual renewal and a Lenten meal was shared with all in attendance.
