PRESS RELEASE: HIS GRACE BISHOP ILARION FULFILLS OUR LORD’S COMMANDMENT (Matthew 25:36, 40)

While on his recent visit to Winnipeg October 7-11, His Grace Bishop Ilarion, Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan Cathedral UOCC, fulfilled the Lord’s commandment “I was sick and you visited Me.” (Matthew 25:36). 

He met with and visited His Eminence Metropolitan YURIJ (KALISTCHUK,) now retired and living at the Sobor Millennium Villa; he visited The Rt. Rev. Protopresbyter Dr. Oleg and Dobr. Mariya KRAWCHENKO at their home. Fr. Oleg is the second longest serving priest of our UOCC, long-time professor and Principal, Dean and Chaplain of St. Andrew’s College, and former Chancellor of the UOCC (from 1995 – 2000.)

His Grace Bishop Ilarion also made a hospital call – visit to (Brother) Mr. Vasyl’ (Bill) Balan, two-term Treasurer of the Presidium of the Consistory Board (1995 – 2000, and 2005 – 2010,) and very long-time council member and Chair of the Parish Council at St. Mary the Protectress Cathedral (Sobor,) in Winnipeg.

As Our Lord proclaims: “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” (Matthew 25:40).
