ДУХ БОЖЕСТВЕННОЇ ЛЮБОВИ
Кожна людина шукає чогось більшого чим вона – чогось такого, щоб дало спокій, почуття безпечности, почуття, що ти улюблений, захищений, доглянутий. Якщо б ми це “Щось” знайшли то стали б відважними, енергічними, ефективними, та поступово перетворювали б навколішній світ на образ тієї радості, яку ми знайшли.
Він прийшов! Дух Божий – Дух Любові! Він сильний, як вітер. Він смирениий і непереможний, як вода. Він пробиває мури, щоб досягти, свою кохану – людську душу, яка помирає від палкого прагнення Його подиху. Він єднається з нею огненно-страсно! А душа, опанована радістю здійсненої надії, промовляє зачарованими, таємничими словами екстазу.
І в хвилину, коли невтаємничені готові висміяти її, як п’яного дивака, душа ж промовляє з чесністю, щирістю та простотою божественної премудрости. Всі чують її. Велика кількість здається тієї Любові, що з неї випромінює. Божественний огонь запалює натовп і народжується – Церква!
Ось так можна описати таємничу та сильну подію, яку ми сьогодні святкуємо: П’ятдесятницю – Зішестя Святого Духа на Апостолів.
Нехай продовжується поміж нами сьогодні. Нехай і наш особистий світ – і ввесь світ взагалі переміниться зростом поміж нами цього Духа Божественної Любові. Брати й сестри: приймімо Його – здаймося в полон нашого Любителя. Нехай не буде для нас нічого важливішого від цього божественного трунку – Духа Святого.
Нехай і наші страхи і само-засудження ведуть нас в обійми Того, що так кохає нас. Він воістину нас любить! Він шукає нас і кличе нас. Прийдімо до Нього!
THE SPIRIT OF LOVE
We are all looking for something greater than we are. Something which will give us peace, security, the consciousness of being loved, protected, cared for. If we find this Thing we shall be courageous, energetic, effective, recreating the world around us in the image of this joy that we have found.
It has come! The Spirit of God Who is Love! He is strong as the wind. He is humble and invincible as water. He breaks down the walls to reach His beloved – the soul which is dying of ardent desire for Him. He unites with it in fiery passion. Conquered by the joy of hope attained, the soul speaks with the mystical words of ecstacy.
And just when the non-initiated are about to reject it as an intoxicated fool, it speaks with the honesty and simplicity of divine wisdom. Everyone hears – a great multitude submit to the Love that radiates from it. The divine fire races through the crowd and the Church is born!
The above is a description of the mystical and powerful event which we are celebrating today: Pentecost – the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.
May it continue among us today. May our world and all the world be transformed by the increase among us of this Spirit of Love Divine. Brothers and sisters: let us submit. Let nothing be more important for us than this divine refreshment which is the Spirit.
May even our fears and self-accusations lead us into the arms of the One Who loves us so. He truly does love us and is looking for us and calling us. Let us go to Him!
L’ESPRIT D’AMOUR
Nous cherchons quelque chose qui est plus grand que nous. Quelque chose qui nous donnera la paix, la s?curit?, la connaissance que nous sommes aim?s, prot?g?s, soign?s. Avec cette chose nous serons courageux, ?nergiques, efficaces en recr?ant le monde autour de nous dans l’image de la joie que nous avons trouv?e.
Il est arriv?! L’Esprit de Dieu qui est Amour est venu! Il est puissant comme le vent. Il est humble et invincible comme l’eau. Il brise les murs pour atteindre ? Son amour – notre ?me qui meurt du d?sir ardent pour Lui! Il la prend avec l’ardeur du feu! Vaincue par la joie de l’espoir r?alis?, elle s’exprime avec les paroles myst?rieuses de l’extase.
Et au moment o? les non-initi?s sont pr?ts ? la rejeter comme fou intoxiqu?e, elle parle avec l’honn?tet? et la simplicit? de la sagesse divine. Et tout le monde entend et s’y soumet. Puis le feu divin enflamme toute la foule et l’?glise est n?e!
L? nous avons une description de l’?v?nement mystique et puissant que nous c?l?brons aujourd’hui: la Pentec?te, la Descente du Saint-Esprit sur les Ap?tres.
Puisque ?a continue parmi nous aujourd’hui. Puisque notre monde et le monde tout entier se transforme par l’accroissance de cet Esprit d’Amour divin. Fr?res et soeurs: Soumettons-nous! Ne laissons rien ?tre plus important que la boisson qui est l’Esprit.
Puisque m?me nos craintes et nos accusations de nous-m?mes nous poussent dans les bras de notre Amant divin. Il nous aime. Il nous cherche. Il nous invite. Allons-y!
